A New system was introduced in the Indian Railways for Providing a wide new process to restrict the Bulk tatkal bookers / Agents , with in the station as well in the IRCTC Websites , Now a Latest system was introduced that the Booking counters will now open at 10 am instead of 8 am regularly , and made bookings for a day before the journey from the originating station .Also, travel agents including those of IRCTC will not be allowed to book Tatkal tickets between 10 am and noon from counters as well as on the Internet. The booking of Tatkal tickets under the new scheme began today i.e on July 10 2012 within the Zonal Railways have been instructed to make adequate arrangement at reservation counters .

Some of New Measures For Passengers : 

• Booking counters will now open at 10 am instead of 8 am regularly according to railway time table
• The Passengers have carry a self-attested identity proofs to buy a Tatkal ticket.
• CCTVs are also be installed at booking counters to monitor the 'Taktal' booking system. 
• They display of helpline numbers for complaints. 
• Some Zones are offering Special Q's for the Tatkal Bookings .
